Section 10 Consultation

Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust are delighted to have been awarded the opportunity to open Oakley School following a rigorous application process.

We are now required to undertake a public consultation.

Oakley School will open in a new block at Myton School in September 2023 for Year 7.

The permanent school will be located by the Oakley Grove Housing Estate and will open in September 2024 for Reception and another Year 7. It will then grow year on year.

The school will replicate the outstanding provision offered by Southam College and Southam Primary.

We look forward to listening to your views in order to provide parents/carers and the community we serve with the best school and education possible.

Have your say

As part of the process of opening a new school, Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust is legally required to hold a consultation exercise under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010, to determine whether the Trust should enter into a Funding Agreement with the Department for Education.

This consultation will allow parents/carers and pupils, staff and governors from local schools, local authorities, councillors, local residents and any other interested parties to learn more about Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust’s plans for the new school.

The consultation period will run from 1st November to 12th December 2022.

We have already held a number of public events and there will be a further event at Bishops Tachbrook Parish Council meeting on Thursday 8th December at 7.30pm at St Chad’s Centre.

We are keen to deliver a school that meets local needs and requirements and welcome your views. To share these with us please complete our online questionnaire by clicking on the link below.

You can also email a hard copy of the questionnaire to or by post to Southam College, Free School Consultation, Welsh Road West, Southam, Warwickshire, CV47 0JW.

*Please note this consultation is not related to any building or planning applications surrounding the new school; it is solely to consult on whether appropriate persons support the Trust to enter into a Funding Agreement with the Secretary of State for Education to run Oakley School.
