Over the coming months we will be appointing key staff in time for the opening of Oakley School in September 2023.

November 2022

Headteacher

In November, we appointed Sarah Kaye as Oakley School’s first Headteacher. Sarah has a passion, knowledge and commitment to the local area which aligns with the mission of Oakley School to serve its community and be a school that children are proud to call their own.

January 2023

Teaching Staff

We will begin our recruitment campaign in January 2023 in order to allow plenty of time to ensure we can appoint top quality staff. The following positions will be advertised: Head of English Head of Maths Head of Science Head of PE Head of D & T Head of Humanities (History & Geography) Teacher of PE In specialist areas such as Philosophy & Ethics existing staff at Trust schools will provide part time teaching in initial years.

Easter 2023

Head of Year

A non-teaching Head of Year will be appointed to start after Easter 2023 in order to be fully involved in the transition process.

Summer 2023

SendCo

A SENDCo will be recruited to start at the beginning of the summer term in 2023. This will allow them to be fully involved in the transition process and really get to know pupils prior to joining Oakley School in September 2023.

September 2023

Deputy Headteacher

A Deputy Headteacher will be in post for 1st September 2023.

Other Support Staff

There will be a number of support staff appointed prior to opening to assist in the set up of the school.
